We went skating at Asama Onsen International Skating Center on the 7th of February.  It was great fun to have so many people together enjoying themselves.  Many people were skating for the first time, others for the second time, but most folks did real well! You can see photos at the gallery

It seems like the city is planning to close the rink, and they are not planning to open it next year.  If you want to let them know your interest, you can contact the "taikuka", or sports and athletics department at the Matsumoto city office.  It would be a shame to lose such a facility that is already set up and operable.
