Koi, Koi Matsumoto was on June 27, Sunday.  It was an

international cultural festival with over 20 countries represented.  There was a lot of preparation that went into it, and we'd like to thank all those who took part.  International Handshake's Mayumi put many hours of work into it, as did Shinshu Daigaku's Satou sensei, and M-Wing's Katsuya-san and Yamagishi-san, and many, many others.  I can't name everyone here, but we are very thankful for all your work!

It was a first time event, and although everything wasn't perfect, it went very well on the whole.  There was food from about 10 countries, there were games for the kids from various cultures, there was a show with music and dancing, a fashion show of traditional clothing, Indonesian dancing for everybody, and Brazilian capoeira, again for everybody who wanted to try.  Check out the photos on the gallery page!

I think everyone was surprised at how many people showed up.  It shows that Matsumoto wants sucha a festival.  This was the first one, but people are already asking about when the second one will be.  The date is not set yet, but when we hear about it, we'll keep you posted!
