We were wondering if we had picked the right weekend for hanami (picnicking under the cherry blossom trees), but it turned out to be the best day for it.  However, because the blossoms were in full bloom, there were lots of other picnickers out, and it made it hard to find us for some.  If anyone reading this was out looking for us and missed us, I deeply apologize!

The weather was great and we had lots of fun.  New friends and old joined us, and we had a great time playing balloons with the kids, and talking with the oldsters.

We had planned to play mallet golf, but it seemed that some had small children, and others weren't so interested in the mallet golf, so we didn't end up doing that.  However, if you'd like to try it, I recommend Shinshu Skypark.  They have several mallet golf courses, and you can rent a mallet and ball for all day for Y200.  You can get it in the office in the track and field stadium (Not the Alwyn Soccer stadium).  If you want to play, but you don't know where the stadium is, let me know, and I'll help you find it!
