Thinking about the movie afterwards, I was thinking about "What if nobody were to 'pay it forward'?"  It dawned on me that our lives are what we make them.  That is, what we are, and the lives we have are determined by our decisions, our thoughts, our actions.  And the next thing I thought of is "What type of life do you want to have?  What type of person do you want to be?"

I reckon that the best life we can have, and the best person we can be is one who is loving, giving, concerned about others.  If we "pay it forward" in various ways as the opportunities present themselves, then we will be building those qualities into our lives.  Even if nobody else pays it forward, we will still come out ahead by basing our own lives on the principles of love and giving.
